The Niantic Lions Club

The Niantic Lions were founded on September 27, 1949 with 33 members. The New London Lions were the sponsoring club, and our first president was the late Mario Orefice. We have been active members of the Niantic/East Lyme community for almost 60 years. Our current membership is 70, all of whom are proud to say "We Serve".
The mission of The Lions is to fund research in an attempt to eliminate preventable blindness, to assist those that are visually impaired and to make our comunity a better place to live. We have fun doing that, and last year through our efforts we contributed more than $23,000 to various organizations and causes.
Our meetings are held at 6:30pm on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month, Labor Day through the end of June at the Flanders Fish Market and Restaurant, 22 Chesterfield Road, East Lyme, CT. Click here for directions.
